If you are in the bright neighborhood with green hills and a floating castle, you are in Level 94, Motion. Travel toward the castle during daylight. As night approaches, enter a house, turn off its lights and hide under a bed or in a wardrobe until morning. Reaching a house is not enough if you remain standing in its rooms.
“House level” can also describe Level 9's Darkened Suburbs or Level 974's Kitty's House. Identify the setting before applying the Level 94 night routine.
Identify which house level you entered
| What you can see | Location | Required objective |
|---|---|---|
| Green hills, a bright village and a castle floating in the distance | Level 94, Motion | Survive the journey, enter the castle and reach the coaster exit |
| Dark streets, a large eye-like patrol and houses marked on a console | Level 9, Darkened Suburbs | Use the marked house computers and complete the basement cure |
| Indoor chairs facing a stage, toys and Kitty | Level 974, Kitty's House | Find twelve toys while managing Kitty, then finish on the stage |
A wooden front door does not make these levels interchangeable. Level 94 is governed by the day-and-night journey. Level 9 uses a live map and computer objective. Level 974 is a later branch reached through a card-controlled route near Lights Out.
Set your Level 94 destination before sunset

The floating castle is the forward destination in Motion. Read the note near the starting street sign and use the visible castle to maintain your travel direction across the village.
Take supplies from the vans or other accessible sources when you need them, but avoid an unnecessary detour that leaves you far from shelter as the sky changes. The journey may span more than one day-and-night cycle; you do not need to force the whole distance in a single daylight stretch.
While moving, identify a nearby house before you need it. A visible building with an understood entrance is more useful than a distant silhouette you start running toward after darkness has already arrived.
Vans can help with travel, but a moving vehicle should not replace a clear house-shelter plan. For the night routine, use the actual hiding places inside the village houses and keep track of their capacity for the team.
Turn off the lights and use a hiding spot

The Animations emerge at night. When the sun begins to set, stop advancing toward the castle and enter the nearest suitable house.
Complete all three actions:
- Get inside before it becomes fully dark.
- Turn the house lights off at the switch.
- Hide under the bed or in the wardrobe.
Closing a front door and standing beside it does not complete the shelter sequence. Animations can enter a lit house, so the lights and hiding action both matter.
A typical house provides the bed and wardrobe as two hiding places. With three or four players, plan separate shelters so everyone has an actual spot. Do not wait until a single house is already full to decide where the remaining player should go.
Stay hidden through the dangerous period. Use the return of daylight and the outside music as cues to resume the journey. Seeing an enemy pause or appear motionless is not a dependable reason to leave shelter early.
Continue the journey from the correct landmark
After morning returns, leave the house and restore your direction toward the floating castle. Remember which side of the house you entered from so a short shelter stop does not turn into a journey back toward spawn.
If teammates used different houses, regroup in daylight. Give the castle-facing direction or a nearby road as a reference, rather than asking someone to run out while their shelter is still in darkness.
At the castle, find the hanging rope below it and climb into the interior. The outdoor shelter objective is complete once you have entered; the next task is a separate room puzzle.
Match the castle's blocks to the floor symbols

Inside the castle, push the blocks onto the floor markings with matching symbols. Inspect the top of a block before moving it so you know which marking it belongs on.
The four symbols are a circle, star, square and combined shape. Complete all four matches to open the next passage. Move deliberately and leave room to approach the other blocks instead of pushing several at once without checking their symbols.
The October 2026 update fixed a multiplayer issue involving the puzzle-room door and the next encounter. The intended path is to complete the matches and continue through the room normally; a disconnect is not part of the solution.
Survive the Animated King and board the coaster

Beyond the block puzzle is the Animated King and the roller-coaster escape. Prepare your flashlight and collect any needed nearby supplies before committing to the encounter.
When the encounter begins and the lights go out, keep looking for the King and respond when he appears, keeping him in view and using the flashlight. Do not focus only on the coaster timer while ignoring the room around you.
Continue until the coaster's timer reaches one hundred and the ride is ready. Board promptly using the interaction prompt to leave the castle and proceed to Level 6, Lights Out.
The house shelters were preparation for reaching this castle; hiding through a night does not finish Level 94 by itself. The block puzzle and coaster are the remaining forward objectives.
Use the other house rules only in their own level
If you instead entered Darkened Suburbs, use the central console's red house markers. Wretches inside those houses can open closed doors, so a small upper-door lock is important. There is no Level 94 sunrise cycle to wait for as the computer solution.
If you reached Kitty's House, identify the chairs and stage and search for the twelve noisy toys. Keep track of Kitty's position and its relocation sound. Turning off a village-house light or waiting under a Level 94 bed is not the access or completion method for this branch.
Correctly identifying the level lets you choose a concrete next action: shelter for the night in Motion, complete the marked terminals in Darkened Suburbs, or manage the toy objective in Kitty's House.
